It's crazy to think how many people that one plane killed... and that the pilot named it after his mother. What kind of relationship was that?

Don't get me wrong. I love the lens. But it's ginormous and (for now), doesn't see much time on my cameras. So it serves as a paperweight for me right now.

It spends about as much time on my camera as my 24-70 f/2.8 L II, I've gone on vacation and shot with nothing but this monster lens. Seriously one of if not my favorite lens.

I've been to Hiroshima to the peace dome, park and museum.
Its really quite saddening to see the consequences of war on the civilians caught within it.
And to see the breathe of the damage from one bomb from this one plane...I was in awe.

To be fair, Tibbets named the plane before the bomb was dropped and and while he was informed that this was a new kind of weapon that had the potential to end the war, I don't think anyone could have imagined the scale of destruction. I'm not sure it is fair to psychoanalyze this particular fact.

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

Kodak Wratten 2 Gel Filter is less than USD80.00. Seems the way to go for SUWA lenses.

With Wonderpana filter system (no , you can focus, meter and then add filters.

But all those gelatin gel filter, how to focus? Focus then take off the lens, insert the filter than put back the lens?

Do they have a 10 stop ND filter?
With the lee filter system I can set it up and focus, then add a grad ND filter and position it, and then add the 10 stop ND filter (it has slots for 2 filters) and take the picture...
...itching to take it out, hopefully this weekend.
