A couple more of the skyline. Same pics, different WB treatments. Which do you prefer?

Canon EF 70-200L/4 IS for both.

The first is more interesting for sure, but I would prefer it to be just a tad warmer.

That makes sense. Like I said, I can certainly understand why such an image would be appealing and I get your thought process behind it, just doesn't sit right with me, I think a large part of it is because her eyes appear to be closed and his are open... just makes for a very ominous image to my mind.

Yes I really wish he closed his eyes. Might need to do some photoshop magic.

This gave me the creeps! I sure hope that's not a real person. Nice capture David.

This is the Bexar County Courthouse in SATX constructed in 1896 and designed by architect J. Riely Gordon. The main material used was red sandstone giving the building a beautiful tone. The courthouse is located on the main plaza in downtown along with other famous landmarks like the San Fernando Cathedral.

Very cool. Check out Michael Shainblum's YouTube tutorial on editing the Milky Way. Also Ian Norman from Lonely Speck.

Thanks! I'll have a look tonight. I've got a few good ones to process I think. Struck gold with the dark skies and clear nights

Meant to say the green glow is the aurora. I couldn't see it with my eye but it came out in the photos. I'm looking west in this image. When looking north the green was a lot stronger in the photos

That is very cool...looking forward to the rest of your images from the trip. Sounds like you had fun.

Travis, I'm glad it was helpful. I use those techniques on my Milky Way images too.

Check out Michael Shainblum's YouTube tutorial on editing the Milky Way......

Thankyou!!! Watched the tutorial there and applied the things to these two images. Happy with the way they came out. I am going to re-edit my campervan shot now as I realise the colours and the contrast are way off.

For anyone interested here is the wiki page about these stones - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Callanish_Stones (external link) . They are from the Neolithic era (4000-2500 BC)
