This Golden-crowned sparrow was staying in the shadows.

I had a few ideas but ended up doing shadows on a wall. I have nothing that creates interesting shadows so I used the mannequins. Crazy thing is I liked one of the test shots best. It's a kind of a Behind the Scenes type of shot but it's my favourite of two dozen shots.

And an actual shot of one of the shadows that I also kinda like. Dancers.

I didn't spot any interesting shadows all week. They were probably around, I just didn't notice any that shouted "I have potential!" So here's a "creative" stretchy interpretation, also known as fudging the assignment. This crucifix and its beaded hanger stood out against the shadowy background inside a parked car. Shot through a side window.

Well, you know it's been cloudy in the Bay Area a lot of this week. When the sun was out, it wasn't very bright. I guess Steve's part of the country was the same:

In accordance with the new rule against stickling, reflections might count as shadows for the purpose of this week's theme.

LOL, I saw that OhLook, thankful for it too. I need to be excused most of the time anyway.

The hillside to the West is in deep shadows as the sun rises over the ridge to the East.

We had cloudy weather for the first couple days of our fall color camping trip. On the third day it was partly sunny and the shadows made for some interesting light.

Fun to see every ones Shadows this week. Well done.:-)

Here's my entry for the week. A personal Shadow from this morning. A much shorter lens would have made a little better picture, but I didn't have one along.:-)
