Challenge #606 - From the ground up
_______________
I find shooting up, from the ground level often offers unique perspectives / compositions. With most G-series having articulating screens, shooting from ground up is even easier. Your subject should be higher than the ground. I’ll be looking for unique compositions and lighting.

Results
Thank you all for your entries. As always, picking a winner from this group of talented G-series shooters is not an easy task. I went back and forth all weekend and finally picked winners based on the composition I liked, and if I could tell whether the shot was truly from the ground up. With that ….

Ground cover, M_Six - A very familiar ground cover since my house used to be surrounded by the same thing.

The Kids Went Up The Hill!, JimAskew – I don’t know why, but your picture reminded me of the movie ‘Sound of Music’.

Castle Rising Monastery, Trumper – Great background complimenting the flower shot from the ground level.

Wind Power, Spoco57 – I like the composition. Simple and effective.

Blowin' In the Wind, Raven – Although the sky gives the shot a nice drama, I am not getting the sense of ‘shooting from the ground up’.

"Not interested at all", Pictoraider – A nice B&W street shot from truly the ground level. Did you get yelled at about taking the picture?

Shoe View, teekay – Very clever. I’d call it signature teekay look. Truly from the ground up with awesome background.

Winners are …
1st - Castle Rising Monastery, Trumper
2nd - Shoe View, teekay
3rd – Tie between Wind Power, Spoco57 & "Not interested at all", Pictoraider

It is all yours, Trumper

Congratulations to Trumper, and thanks for the coveted #2 spot, Sibil!

An interesting challenge, and my own fave was Spoco's beautifully clean shot of the wind turbine.

:-) Thank you for the 1st place ,we were away last week so i had to dig into the archives to find a photo.Castle Rising is an disused Priory http://www.english-heritage.org.uk …-acre-castle-acre-priory/ (external link) well worth a visit if you are in the area.
I enjoyed all the photos this week Teekays made me laugh [hope that was ok LOL :)] and Pictoraiders "Not interested at all" i also wouldn't have the courage to photograph someone in public.
I'll think of a topic and post it up in a minute :)
