I am so freaking out. Which is something I don't do much. Put me in front of 20 Board of Directors and let me ask for 30 million to go build a building ... no problem...... But tomorrow I have to meet with an Archeologist and spend most of the day taking shots of petroglyphs for his submittal to American Archaeology Magazine. Im in a panic that I can produce lol

Very cool shots, Eddie! I'm jealous. I'll echo the "There's nothing interesting to shoot in the burbs" comment.

Shooting around the burbs does get tiresome sometimes. We are going to another country called Arkansas next week to visit family and to hopefull get some fall colors.

Sweet! I'll pick it up too so I can be ready for the new moon. They also sell a filter to cut light pollution.

i want a fast native lens for AF.....im bouncing between 55 f1.8 and 28 f2 and cant decide. I know theyre not the same focal length and hence not the same use but i really just want a fast native lens....im on the fence because the 55 is so good but i am not in love with the 50mm FOV. I am more 40mm and below, the 28mm though i already have 2 lenses that cover 28mm. 16-35 and 28-70.

i just keep going back and forth LOL!!!

so I'm on a business trip and I have a long stop over in Singapore. I ended up buying the 28f2 for 380usd and the 55f1.8 for 750usd

Epiphany

Yep having one. My 6300 accounts for 25% or less of all my photos. Perhaps I need to just relax

Just interesting that they omitted the touch screen on this one, would've made it that much more appealing.

It feels like Sony is intentionally leaving out features to hold out for the next version to market it as brand new and updated and justify the increase in price. It's well within their right to do so, but for me I'm not a fan of it. I'm more supportive of the Fuji/Olympus model of improvement via FW, the E-M1 for example now on FW 4 is nothing like it was when it was released.

I would've be surprised if the next a7 camera whether it's an a7rIII or an a9 passes the $4,000 barrier.

Sorry but you can't add hardware with a firmware update.

I held off on upgrading to the latest. I believe it's safe now since Sony returned the native AF feature to default.

They did what when?

Man working out in the burbs has really killed my chances to shoot anything interesting. Need to carve out some time to explore.

Haha, I know that feeling...

My bad. I was confused with the last Metabones firmware update. I just read the a7RII v3.3 update thread on FM and there were no issues reported. Sorry for the confusion.

Very nice work Gary. Nice light on both but I especially like the first one. Which lens?
