Alright, a used but like new RX1RII is selling local. The auction end on my birthday and the price is like it was before sony increased prices.

lovely location. was this just a park car by the cliff and took a picture or did you have to walk further?

No this is the only one I got due to a bit of a mistake I made. I had been photographing the Milky Way the night before and was having a few Stella's at the same time. When I went back into the campervan for the night I set the alarm for sunrise. The next morning I woke up without an alarm and peered out the window to realise I had slept in by an hour and the sun was just about to pop up. I literally ran outside, setup and got this shot. I double checked my alarm and realised in my alcohol impaired state I set the alarm for midweek only and this was the weekend

I had some fun with macro photography this afternoon. I used my Canon 580EX II speedlight with a LumiQuest UltraSoft Pocket Bouncer. I think it worked fairly well. The dragonfly was very patient despite some wind.

Another image taken closer. A bit different light on this image bringing out more of the color in the dragonfly's face.

I don't know how you guys get to keep these critters from flying off. I have had zero luck getting anything to sit still for more than 3 seconds. Setting up lights and stuff? Forget about it.

Thanks for the feedback, I had planned for this since my last outing, only a few seconds, and it's over, gotta wait another day for a window of opportunity as this particular plane comes once every 3-4 hours, woke up at 530am to prep for the shot. Plane was late 40 mins, which turned out perfect.

Did heavy shadow recovery, and wasn't sure if it looked fake or not. Thanks again everyone for the feedback. Now to plan a sunset capture
