Before and After - The Weekly Editing Challenge
...now compiled into a single, easy to locate thread, that can be added to your subscribe/follow list!
Rules are simple:

Download the image file from the current week Contestants will have 7 days to edit the image and post their edited version to the thread (1 entry per week) The owner of the original image will choose a winner The winner will copy & paste this post and include a new downloadable image link The new image must be unedited / SOOC (straight out of camera), full-resolution, and in a RAW format, ie. CR2, DNG, TIF, etc (Dropbox works well for uploading and linking these large files) The purpose of this game is to be creative and learn new editing techniques. You must give some insight into exactly how you went about editing the image. For example, increased shadows sliders, reduced highlights, local sharpening, white balance adjustment, specific filters used, tone curve adjustments, etc. Comments and/or questions regarding the edits are encouraged.

Like that one @Jakaph1
Here's my go, a rawtherapee conversion with wavelet contrast/chroma+residual boost, and a special contrast curve in the blue channel (kinda unyellowed the building too).

LR-lowered exposure 2 stops and set black and white points. boost clarity, vibrance, and saturation slightly. Saved image different exposures: -3, -2, -1, even, +1.
Photomatix- created two faux-HDR images. One on preset Natural for the sky for a realistic look. One on preset Vibrant to give a bit over-processed look.
PS- Import both to a stack, set "Natural" to bottom layer. Mask out sky in top "Vibrant" layer then set opacity to 50%. Cropped to 16:9 ratio and zoomed in.

Did some ACR stuff like lower luminance and saturation of the red, blue and yellow channels and some other stuff I can't remember.
Took it into PS and played around with some channel masks, and some more stuff I can't remember and pretty much killed off some trees before noticing!

Just lurking as editing not a strong point ..... really interesting to see the different takes and techniques.

Canon EOS 70D: added a Canon M5: A mixture of Canon, Sigma, Tamron and Tokina prime and zoom lenses, a Samyang fisheye, and just for fun a couple of Helios 44-2 58m..

Here I am, just for a moment to keep this thread going.
My beloved husband of 30 years passed away last Sunday. It's been very, very rough on my kids and me.
Your edits are all beautiful and I wish I could select them all as the winning entries but I can only pick one.
Mark aka rrblint is the winner. Congratulations, Mark.
