I hate engaging IS in video. You can hear it in the clip and it sounds awful.

I started with the Tamron on my (then) brand new 6D. I had a good copy. It was sharp, no focus issues, IS worked well. It was a little softer at 70mm, but that seems to be a characteristic of the lens. All around, a good performer.

Then I got the Canon version II. Apart from the higher price and lack of IS, it's noticeably better in every way - faster and more accurate autofocus, sharper and (to my eye conditioned by Canon lenses :-)) better contrast and colours. Whether it's worth the extra dollars is an open question. If the price is an issue, I expect that you would be quite happy with the Tamron.
