Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that first one isn't a meteor.

Here's my first shot of the 2016 Perseid shower, actually ~125 shots went into making this one, shot with a Nikon D600 + Rokinon 24mm f1.4 lens on a Star Adventurer tracking mount as well as a Nikon D7000 and Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 lens on an iOptron Skytracker mount. Altogether it took about 8 hours to edit the photo. Hopefully I'll have some more tomorrow, after I catch up sleep.

Nice! Could be my monitor at work, but there appears to be a green hue throughout the image?

Just wondering, do you use a grip or some other extended battery life?

Naw, I just swap batteries when one runs low. The green hue is airglow in the sky.

Great shot. I especially enjoy the second photo for its simplistic feel. I love Joshua trees.

Here are a few from my recent trip to Boise, ID. I have never taken a moonlit night photo before, so i thought i would give it a try. Unfortunately, I forgot to take off my UV filter, so there was some lens flaring and sky color uniformity issues. The second shot was taken to block the moon out with the canyon ridges. It is a 5 shot pano, with the sky taken at 20s f/2.8 ISO 2500 and the foreground at 378s f/4.0 ISO 400.

CnC is welcome and appreciated. Thanks for viewing!!

This time of year the Milky Way core is nicely aligned with Deseret Peak and the Stansbury Mountains west of Salt Lake City, got a nice shot of it and the rainbow airglow last night:
