A wonderful use of that vertical format. Looks like a group of people wearing hats all looking up to see what's at the top of the picture.

Thank you, Pekka! I'm sure some members here might have imagined that POTN might begin winding down. But that doesn't make the news any less disappointing. So generous of you to allow us to go along for the ride. As a result you gave us a way to help each other become better photographers. But there's still so much more to learn.

Hey, Gang!

I'm posting, not because I have recent photos (which I don't, due to recent turmoil and health problems) but because I'm very fond of this thread and the great stuff that keeps getting shared here by so many good photogs!

And then, I'd like to single out a couple of people here, not just two of the many good, skilled, "aware" folks here, but, well, two who keep getting/earning my recognition:

PHILMAR (my caps) -- Pil/Philip from Toronto, Canada -- he started this thread in 2009, and he invited me to join in (I don't remember when), and I was happy and rewarded for jumping in, and still, I have kept an eye on this thread whenever I can, and Phil is still going strong, and we all get amazed not just of his beautiful captures from around the world, but by his "eye" that enables those captures to be pretty amazing, even those of our little Urban Fragments!

I'd also like to mention:

ITSALLART -- Renata from "near" Dallas, Texas. She has been an active contributor here in POTN (she joined in 2015) and has shown a real "eye" showing some great work, plenty from Dallas, "fractures" here! Well, as some may know, Renata's life has been turned upside down by a recent loss, many of us have felt, well, whatever you can feel for someone experiencing grief...but I mention her here because, as she is in the process of just beginning to recover from her loss, she has also gotten out to capture and share, and that moves me and inspires me!

So, there you go!!!

Gotta second all these comments. One day I'll get around to figuring out how to post photos here but in the meantime I've been looking at lots and lots of others' work, and 'liking' quite a few without taking much notice of who the photographer was. Then I noticed that lots of my 'likes' were for Philmar's posts. Phil, you are my new photographic hero, such a great eye for a really interesting subject, composition, colour, movement; just spectacular. You have given me a photographic direction to aspire to. May you keep posting your great work for a long time to come.

Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.

I was about to post an image and saw your words; thank you.
I hope you get through the turmoil and health issues soon. Wishing you the best with all my heart.
Take care and thank you again.

Phil's work is outstanding. Sometimes my fingers hurt from clicking the Like button under his shots :)
