Well done! I've been considering replacing my Galaxy S7 with the Pixel.
Thanks for sharing.

It seems those google pixel phones have pretty good cameras. :-)

Can anybody comment on how well the actual phone works?

They are wonderful, IMO. I had a Pixel for two years, and it was great. I have a Pixel 3 XL now, and it's incredible.

That said, you asked how good of a phone it is, and I'd say that the dialer app (the actual phone software) is good enough, but no phone app is going to change anyone's life. It does have a call screen capability that has the Google Assistant answer the call for you, asks the caller to say their name and why they called, and the Assistant transcribes their response. You can choose to answer or ignore, and very easily block a number forever.

In general, I prefer Android over iOS, and I cannot stand any other mfgr's "flavor" of Android (e.g. Samsung, LG, HTC). Pixel provides the latest version of Android, frequent updates, and a pure vision with no bloatware.

The Pixel 3 and 3 XL camera is amazing now. They added Night Sight, and I was able to shoot this one handheld at arm's length! (looks like site Metadata parser doesn't know Pixel 3 cameras, so I manually set it to Pixel 2 -- which could not take this shot)

Thanks for the info. :-) I like Android as well, and have a Samsung 7. This phone seems to have better battery life than most all of my past phones. ;-)a
