Got the Godox AD360II today. It's bigger/heavier than I thought it would be, but its still very much portable. I was able to wirelessly trigger it directly via the Godox X1-S. It works directly with the AD360II's receiver, and no need for a separate receiver. X1-s was able to seamlessly trigger both the AD360II and the 860II. Just for fun I mounted the 860II directly to my camera to try triggering the AD360II via the speedlight....and it worked! This can be useful when you need a fill light on location but don't want to lug a second light around.

THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. Please log in to see the good quality stuff.

HSS works (note the SS below), but surprisingly ETTL works too. I was not expecting this since the marketing material indicated that HSS is for Canon only. I took a couple of shots with varying FEC values and it does appear that HSS is working as it should. I almost always use manual flash with off camera lights, but its good to know that ETTL is there if I need it.

Godox system is a winner so far in my book. The 860II worked really well at the wedding I shot this weekend and the AD360II seems like a keeper as well. Most importantly, all of the equipment integrates with one another really well so no need to buy a bunch of extra triggers and receivers to get it all to work. I'll likely add another AD360II and maybe another 860II sometime down the road.

I want to trade my 600 for a 360, I had planned to use large modifiers but too bulky. 600 is massive, much bigger than the 360's

By posting on Instagram don't you allow them to use the image how ever they wish though? Or have I got that wrong?

Don't see how it's any different than Flickr, just with a much larger crowd. The image size is too small to steal anyhow.

My following and feedback on IG is higher than Flickr. The trick I've found is to submit quality images, post often, use the right hashtags, and be active by commenting on other people's work. You can find me under alfredomoraphotography

These sites help me find good meaningful tags

thanks! It's my tags that are the issue

There was a kerfuffle a while back when Facebook changed the TOS, but they backed off after a massive uproar from the photography community. One area people always get confused however is the language used in the TOS to stipulate that you are granting them reproduction rights. Those rights are needed to be able to transmit and display the image on other peoples devices. The wording however tends to catch some people off guard.

I'm not a huge fan of that type of dangerous type of photography with people sitting on rooftops or ledges. Just seems unnecessarily dangerous.

It was probably a bad example I posted. It's not really the roof top dangerous stuff I'm on about, it's more the city stuff - high rises, bridges, stair cases, obscure angles, abstract elements etc

I thought you said it was a bust

Compared to those clouds we had earlier that day, this was. I had to coax all that color out via some pretty aggressive processing.
