I wish people would call "Windermere" by its proper name.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Windermere is the town at the top of the hill (where we stayed on this trip), Bowness on Windermere is the town on the lake, the lake is called Windermere; which is where these pictures were taken. But without lake in the title how do you differentiate between the town and the lake?
