I do not have this lens but I must say that all the images posted on this thread are striking.

This lens may not be the first choice when shooting sport with an ultrawide lens. But it's sharper than my 16-35/2.8 II and when the light is plentiful, this lens focuses fast and accurate. However, I tried using it during a hockey game and it's way slower to nail the focus than the f/2.8 II, at least combined with a 6D. I'm going to buy the 16-35 III and keep this lens (and perhaps the old II as a spare lens because an ultrawide is a really useful tool), for those times I'm out for fishing.

Hello, guys. I'm trying to justify the higher price of canon 11-24mm f/4 ...... almost three times of 16-35mm f4. It is soooo pricey!

What do you think? 16mm it is wide enough for landscape? Anybody here thinking of buying the huge, pricey 11-24mm?

Becouse iam in really doubt on these bad boys.

Thanks for response.

I added the Tam 15-30, it sits by the 16-35/4. I did the wonderpana system for the Tam. If I ever go wider it will be the Sigma 12-24 ART if they ever put it out in a-mount. Agree with Martial, the 16-35 is wide wnoughefor 90%of anything I'd ever shoot and it is promo sharp, the huge draw to me on the Canon though is size and weight.

Tough call, man.. this f/4 IS is so useful as an all around lens, along with it being a stellar performer. But I too am curious to try out that new f/2.8 III!
