Yup. They definitely need better Sigma photographers to represent their brand well. All 1.4 shots with beautiful bokeh, model, lighting and editing. That's how you sell your lens and garner more pre-orders/orders.

Some more sample images direct from Sigma... https://blog.sigmaphoto.com …ficent-85mm-1-4-art-lens/ (external link)

F11 studio shots and F2.8 outdoor???...

Sigma really really really sucks in the build the hype crap. Looks like it'll be up to us select few who actually pre-ordered the lens to post the true samples of what we are looking for... ALL F1.4 shots period.

I saw that and it wasn't anything special. There are alot of shots taken @ 1.4 but only a few that was impressive. The one I am impress the most is the headshot of the girl provided when Sigma first announce this lens.

I thought this lens was supposed to be released yesterday. Amazon and other retailers still listed as pre-order?

who knows. Adorama said before that the lens would ship from mfg on 10/25 and now their site: http://www.adorama.com/sg8514aca.html (external link) has been updated to not reflect a date. Adorama was closed until noon today. I sent Helen my tracking information and I hadn't heard anything back yet. I'm not at all complaining. I'll inform here when I find out though.

To be honest : i'm a Sigma Art fan (no AF problems as some are afraid of, out of experience with the non-Art cheaper line).
The Art line is like the L lenses (mostly even better IQ)

I replaced my 35L with the 35Art, and I bought a 50 1.4 Art as it was much better than the problematic 50L.
But for the 85 Art it's a different story.

I have the 85 1.2L MKI, which is razorsharp, ok slow focussing but for modelshoots this isn't important.
Af f1.2 gets double the light in than f1.4 I would stay with the Canon for once.
Some people say f1.2 is too thin, but for full body shots it's superb and the model is completely sharp.

So the optics of the 85L can hardly be matched and the Art will be no dreamy f1.2
The only positive would be the faster AF (no OS i thought?), so i'd stick with the 85L for once.

It there would be a 135 Art OS with the same topquality IQ as the 135L I would switch to the Art for the OS.

Sony A7 III | Metabones V | Canon 17-40 F4 L | 24-70 2.8 L | 70-200 2.8L II
Sigma 50 1.4 Art | Sigma 85 1.4 Art

Lighting : Godox AD600B TTL + Godox V860II-S + X1T-S
Modifiers: 60cm Collapsible Silver Beautydish + grid | Godox 120cm Octagon softbox + grid
Tripod: Vanguard Alta 253CT carbon

there hasn't even been any real world examples posted yet so not sure how you can comment. I have a 85 1.2II ready to test along side the art 85 ONCE I get it in my hands. Expect a full review from me... in an "i'm a dad shooting a cup of coffee" type of way lol

and fyi... yes the 85L optics can be matched and far exceeded... go compare it to the OTUS and you'll see exactly what I mean. tack sharp, zero CA and microcontrast like a mother vs the 85L even at 1.2.... the sigma is to match the otus, or at least we'll see. Not too many OTUS vs 85L because well the otus was 4500 bucks and also manual focus.... You can see some examples here: https://www.slrlounge.com/zeiss-otus-85mm/ (external link)

Sigma is bringing alot to the table here.

I appreciate you posting the most latest news and sightings of this lens. I'm constantly searching google and sorting it by past 24 hours just to stay updated with how this lens is going.
