Won't be missing spring '17 with this lens on the 5D4! Say, my images keep looking "softened" when I post to this site. Any tips? Do I have to "oversharpen" to compensate? I will be very interested to see some results.....I am getting good results on closer subjets like birds and squirrels but when I shoot subjects that are further away I am disappoined with the results...I was shooting some deer at about 100 meters yesterday and I am struggling to get sharp photos....No amount of MFA seems to make any difference.. 1DX, 500L f4, 70-200L f2.8II, 100L f2.8 macro ,16-35 f4, 1.4xIII, Metz 64-AF1

View_Finder Senior Member More info | Oct 30, 2016 09:23 | #3967 Don - since you seem to be having more issues with the 5D4 rather than the 500mm (I'm assuming here since the 6D worked for you), I will post some test shots of the 5D4+500mm combination in the 5D4 thread. Brylek Senior Member More info | Oct 30, 2016 17:59 | #3969 I have owned this lens for a few weeks now and the only regret I have is that I had not bought it earlier! I originally wanted it for my plane and moon shots and I even got my only POTN "best of" feature with it but after looking at your beautiful wildlife shots I decided to go and see what I can do with it, I have to say I am very happy with the results. Hello Brylek, You will certainly not be disappointed with this great lens. It works really well with the 1.4 and 2 x TC's III. Please keep the posts coming. I'm intrigued on how you took these photo's.If they were hand held at 1/60s you have done remarkably well. Did you use a tripod or monopod?
