I went adventuring in the Anza-Borrego desert on Sunday. Bust for the most part (thanks to there being absolutely zero features in that desert...).
But here's the best I could do:

We had one nice sunset during our Maui vacation. I missed focus on this shot just slightly using the Loxia 21.

I was using the Godox AD360II (rebranded flashpoint) in ETTL mode y'day and it went a long way because I was positioning my subjects in different spots and the position of the sun kept changing the ambient exposure. It worked well, but HSS sucks up a lot of power. The AD600II (rebranded Xplor 600) is on my shortlist...either that or a second AD360II to use with a double speedlight bracket since I can hook up two AD360's to a single power supply.

Nice shot alfredo. I really like the way the Loxia 21 renders for portraits and have been tempted by the Lox50. 21mm can make a very interesting environmental portraits as you've shown here! Really hard to MF at wide aperture with such a wide angle FOV though.

Thank you! I've been very happy with the Loxia 21. As you mentioned, it has that quality Zeiss rendering. The Lox 50 sounds very interesting. If I didn't have the Zeiss 55, it would be very compelling. The FE 55 is also a great lens. Very sharp although it does suffer from local CA.

Yeah rendering of the loxia 21 is something special....its a shame that I don't use it much now that I work out in the burbs and don't have many opportunities to shoot anything other than people these days.

I kinda like the really desolate look of it...reminds you what parts of the country still look like untouched by people...

Very good reads in there. Very interesting to see the thought processes of the photographers on that page.

Having the creative vision to see things worth photographing when they're less obvious is something I've been trying to work on, but its been mostly a struggle for me. Admittedly I get caught up in mental blocks about bad lighting, bad location, too many crowds etc etc etc and don't even have the motivation to shoot, even though I have a camera with me all the time (RX1RII and the wide angle adapter are with me every day). I do this knowing that some of my favorite shots happened when I almost hesitated to shoot at all for whatever reason.
