Thought I would share some photos from last nights shoot. Some friends of ours son is graduating this year and they requested that I take some senior photos for them. Here are a few from last night.

Looks like a contrasty style he kept consistent throughout to me. I like it.

I like your framing, but you need some catch lights in his eyes.
Look for the light in his eyes or, if that's too awkward for you, use your palms to see it. Alternatively, you could fill in with off-camera flash.
#1 would have been better framed if the lines of the bridge were running into the top corners of the frame. Some distracting stuff, like the orange sign and lamp post (camera right) that would be easy to clone out (or lose with my suggested crop).
#2 would have been better with subject dead centre of the frame as pipes are running out of his head.
Awkward lips in #3.
In #4 there are people walking behind in the background. Don't shoot for the sake of shooting. Just wait until they're gone, and don't worry about the seconds of waiting in between because they aren't as long as you think they are (I'm always trying to tell myself this).

Hope this helps somewhat.

FWIW, crop tighter and lighten, good work, tells his story, 3 and 5 for me. Chris
