i shot a show last night w/ a fully charged, practically brand new battery, and afterwards i watched the Cubs/Indians game at the bar and used WiFi to pull some selected shots to my phone, to edit in LR and upload.

then i noticed my battery was at 48%. that's nuts!

Is it possible to power the camera from any type of cord, or do you always have to pull out the battery and place it in a charger?

Have had my Mark IV about 6 weeks now...Love it. Along with a Tamron 150-600mm lens it performed flawlessly in Borneo for 3 weeks.

if you have a grip, you can use 8 AA batteries. i don't think you can use AC power to power the camera... would probably destroy it.

Do they not make an AC adaptor? Old, I know but I have one for my 40D.

I have the OEM grip for the 5DIV; it doesn't come with a AA battery tray.

I shot a high school football game tonight in bad lighting, I am very impressed with the high ISO results...
