I thought he was referring to the clone stamp tool, not a stamped visible layer. I don't think creating a stamped visible layer would change the background.

A wee bit too much light on the girl for my taste but I LOVE what you did here. That is thinking out of the box.

Yep - she looks a little too cutout. Great concept, good captures. A little better blending and I think you will be good.
