I didnt get a chance to make it to the skate park at the open this year. Kind of bummed too. I was on the sand all week. Looks like some good stuff.

I want to take more skate photos but dont know any skaters and it just seems weird to just walk up to a park and start shooting. Maybe ill hit up that new park off the 405 by Bella terra.

Hi Joe,
Vans skate park in HB is hit and miss with decent skaters. Went to Venice beach last month and the level of skaters seemed far better, didn't bring my gear though that day. Plus so much other stuff to shoot there too!

I have shot at Venice a few times. Its just a pain in the butt drive and parking there. I might try some of the local parks here and see what I get.

First time shooting skateboarding. Daytime photos turned out like garbage, harsh shadows everywhere. Once the sun went down I was able to get much better shots. Had these exact shots on my mind heading into the session so I came out pretty happy. Still have to go through the rest of the images to find any more keepers.
