Eddie, I really enjoy your boy's portraits. They are always so sharp, vibrant, and nicely processed. Please continue sharing them.

Silent shutter. You can avoid it at certain shutter speeds, looks 1/125

yep, it was silent shutter...just tested it here at home with my monitor...shows bands of odd colors on SS...and it goes away with normal operation...bummer to learn that the hard way with all my images being no good...

Thankyou both much appreciated

Heres one of the first day of our Florida vacation in September. Its my dad helping Callum learn how to swim. This was the first moment he was brave enough to let go my dads hand and float himself in his armbands. By the time the end of the holiday came he was swimming about himself in his arm bands

Yes, yes I was. I had never used it, thought it would be a good place for it since I didn't want to be heard...

I was trying to figure out if it was a video related thing...so, electronic first curtain, is that in silent shutter? Can't be all the time, I have shot other stuff at the school with the Sony and a projected screen...but never in silent shutter...

which, I should find out....if you turn the volume setting down, does that turn down the sound it makes for the shutter...

Silent mode is electronic first and second shutter. Both can have issues with lights that flicker (fluorescent lights, LED lights, and video screens).

Great shots of Callum Eddie. I actually haven't photographed my kids very much at all the past couple of weeks. Need to get back on it.

If I hadn't pre-ordered the Laowa 12mm I might have gone with the Sigma 12-24mm Art. I love my Sigma 20mm Art. They haven't missed yet on the Art series that I know of.

Yeah...I only need it for a trip I'm taking in Jan. I was going to rent it, but it will cost like $175 to rent with insurance so I think I'm going to buy one with my paypal credit account and sell it before the 6 months no interest financing is up lol. I imagine I'll lose like $200 selling it later.

These shots are making me want the Batis 25. Ugh. For a while now I've been feeling tempted by the 35 f/1.4. Either way my wallet is screwed

:D The 35 1.4 has sparked my interest many times but the issues I read about puts me off. That said I LOVE the Batis 25 (all the Batis lenses actually)

Lego - Callum is really getting into lego now which is great as I get to play with it too!
