Thanks, the close up of the bumble bee looks better if not compressed.

I might upload a higher quality on Flickr

Hi Team Kiwi!

I need some of your advice! I've been given a photography assignment to photograph a product at some of the most notable / iconic South Island spots. I'll have a total of 8 days to do so and i'd really appreciate your ideas, suggestions on where to go to get some stunning photos of this product and also show the South Island as a backdrop.

This will happen in early-mid January. Starting point is Wellington to pickup and i'll work my way around the SI.

The product has 4 wheels and so the spots would need to be accessible by car. There is also the additional brief that there is an element of fun, so if there are any suggestions of cool/quirky spots that are local gems, i'd love for that too. Examples would be - Nin's Bin in Kaikoura, The Steampunk museum in Oamaru, the giant salmon at Rakaia to name a few.

Thanks Team!

PFA (this was taken on a mini-roadie to the top of the SI last weekend - this kind of photo is what i'd be aiming to try and get)

That pic looks like where the fella wants to paint in another ad. I think the giant salmon is in Gore unless it has been removed? Gorgeous scenery in the Catlins and of course every one knows Wanaka and Queenstown. Alps, lakes dams etc you have it all there.

Thanks for the tips and headsup Chris. We've recently driven Picton to St Arnaud, the 'new' SH1 and it is quite a challenging drive due to the conditions (narrow, potholes, one lane bridges), but it is certainly doable. Hoping that they've done some improvements by January.
