I don't use this lens nearly as much as I should.

This is almost a perfect walkabout lens.
Maybe f/2.8, same size & weight, I'd happily pay a little bit more.......

I sold mine to get the 24-105 F4L... missing the 18-135 a bit now.

Having had a 28-135mm I think I'd miss the wide angle end.

Strange as it may sound, I think the 18-135 is sharper unless I've got a bad 24-105...

I agree with Jack Dawe post #329, for general use this lens is as sharp as my 17-55mm and a lot more versatile.

Wouldn't call this a birding lens but it was handy at this moment in the Galapagos Islands:

I need to dust mine off and use it. Great lens. I've been using my 17-55 f2.8 a lot.

I actually prefer my 15-85mm to this lens - to me it provides better overall images (a subjective opinion). I've set this to the side and use primarily the 15-85 and get the extra range with the 70-200 f/4L IS. I got the 18-135 STM in a kit with the 70D.

Two years ago a friend of mine died at the ripe old age of 95. In his memory his wife had a marble bench placed on one of his favourite walking trails. This is the view from that bench.
