Do you still have the Batis 25, Carlo? As much as I have struggled with desire for the Loxia 21, I feel it gets squeezed out by the Batis 18 and 25. I too regard the 18mm as a must-get, and 21mm is too close. I wish I could have all three, but it's too much a luxury for me to have three lenses so close in focal lengths.

I sold the batis 25. The loxia rendering and IQ won out for me. But yes my UWA decisions are a struggle because the Loxia 21 is such a middle of the road lens.

I took some shots with the 12-24 just now and I think my mind has changed. Big difference between the various focal lengths and 12mm is pretty cool and not as gimmicky and awkward as I thought it would be.

I've managed to make good use of my Loxia 21 and Batis 18 but it really depends on what you shoot. One is my primary architecture lens and the other primarily for landscapes. I do agree their focal lengths are fairly close and perhaps a Batis 16 and Lox 21 would make a nicer combo. The Batis 25 is a good focal length and would make a great combo too with the Batis 18. Basically you can't go wrong with any of the three.

An alley leading towards the Pearl Brewery which has been restored as a fine eatery location. I love what the architects Lake | Flato did to this area.

Thank you! Really appreciate your feedback. I do enjoy shooting architecture. I think the TS-E 24 will be my next lens.

The Sigma 12-24 looks very nice. 12mm is nice and wide. How does the lens render the image compared to the Loxia 21?

12mm is stupidly wide. Things can get out of whack if you're not careful about where you position things in the frame...very dramatic when done right...really off looking when you do it wrong.

Rendering and sharpness are good. Not quite Loxia caliber, but good.

I was neglecting my Tokina 90 for some time so I took some time early this morning for a walk. There is a good reason they call this lens "bokina".
