A good friend of mine invited me to go kayaking with him this past weekend. We decided to head out really early to catch some sunrise lighting on what was supposed to be peak weekend for leafs this year. The very early morning ended up paying off, it was a very surreal experience, we were one of the only people out on the water the entire morning, were treated to an awesome sunrise, and the fog.... man on man.... that was something out of this world.

Give a nice feeling for being on the water, particularly 3, 6, and the last.

had a feeling that's where those pics were taken, nice work for sure.

Been a few years since I've been down there, use to walk all over the NF side, and live on the north side of the NF. Did you access from Morrow Mtn St. Park or the Uwharrie NF? i've always hit the NF side, it's kind of at the end of the road and out of the way. I have kids now and have been wondering about the State Park side. I've been there, but never put a boat in the water from over there.
