It's Quarry Park in Rocklin, CA. I took a bunch of photos of just the park too, and posted them on Yelp (Rob C. is my user name on Yelp): https://www.yelp.com …rry-park-rocklin?start=30 (external link)

You guys remember photobug7d's critique of my photos, right? https://photography-on-the.net …showthread.php?p=18153143

Well, I do take constructive criticism seriously, since I'm also a teacher and know how important it is to heed the critique of others. I don't know if any of you noticed, but ever since his critique, I've made an effort to find more interesting locations to shoot in, as well as pushed for results that are beyond my usual very casual approach.

Quarry Park is one of the places we found that looked like it would provide a beautiful backdrop, so we drove out there, except we couldn't even find the entrance the first time and gave up. We saw a beautiful church's front-yard so we shot there instead. But I'm not the type to give up, so we went back another time, and again, we couldn't find the damn entrance. We asked a convenient store owner and his direction wasn't all that helpful either, but after circling around about three times, we finally found it, and oh boy, it was totally worth the trouble. Such a beautiful park with interesting sights. We've now shot there twice already--you guys will see more photos featuring this park in my future posts.

I've been looking for places to shoot in Sacramento. Glad I saw your post. I will have to check out Quarry Park. Your portraits are fantastic. You are lucky to have such a willing model.

Technically, no. Can't eat the sandwich before lunch time.

Don't think they'll remove your photo, though. ;) :p
