This was my first time shooting anything like this. These area all from a 6D with a 70-200 2.8 or a 100-400L. I had a 7D along with me as well, but I wasn't paid to shoot this event, and I haven't felt like getting to importing them honestly lol. I really just wanted to see how the 6Ds autofocus would cooperate with me, and Im not really as disappointed as I thought I would be! Not shabby at all. Now its making me jones for a 5D3. I really like how the images came out, and I don't know if the 7D mkii would make me as happy.

Now I've just realized that most of my favorite images came from the same position. And now I feel like they're boring. Fudge.

Your first and last images are fantastic. I might crop in a little tighter but other than that they are great. For action I would choose the 7Dii over either the 5D or 6D. the focus speed is much faster. BUT I am shooting with a 1Dx right now and if you want the best of both full frame and focus speed I would find a used one if possible. You can get them for around 3K now and they are WELL worth it.

Thats sort of my plan, when I start making a little more money. This was just to see IF the 6D could handle it, which I think it did. As long as it has fast glass on it, it did fine. I have a 7D mki that I put the 100-400 on just to have a little bit more reach, but I'm shooting another event this Saturday, and we'll see what I can get! I appreciate the input!!!
