I think i have a problem with my 150-600 ?
When i half press the shutter to achieve focus i can hear the image stabiliser working but also a sound that can only be described as a whistling noise that lasts a few seconds after i release my finger off the shutter button.
Also my photos have become soft and slightly oof.
Has anyone else had the same problem ?

Mine made a screeching sound when mine was mounted on a gimble head. I noticed the OS was still switched on, its not needed when tripod mounted, I turned it off and it hasn't done it since (fingers crossed) got me worried something had broke but assume it was the image stabilizer trying to work.

Yes it does it every time despite turning IS off and trying it in every setting on both my 7d2 and 1dx.

Sounds like a problem, You'll have to get it checked out, or can you do anything with it with the Dock. Try adjusting the OS setting

Yes I have tried checking for the latest firmware and doing a reset but nothing has changed.
I am not the only one that has experienced this sound, after posting on another site other people have noticed this noise.
