My wife wiil NOT use a camera because all photos have to be on the phone IMMEDIATELY.
As she takes photos of our son I would like them to be in focus, what is the best mobile camera?

The a6000 is available for under £500 and has AF that is better than most DLSRs. It also comes with an app that makes the photos instantly available on Android or Ios phones. The quality of the photos as hugely above any smart phone.

Or to answer the question you asked, the galaxy s7 and s7 edge have phase detect AF so they are very fast to focus and have a high success rate. The picture quality is also rated top equal by dxo fwiw.

I don't own either, but atm as far as i can see its between the S7 & the Sony z5p for 'best' in phone camera. The Z5 is supposed to have extremely good AF.

Thinking about one of them myself soon. Leaning a bit toward the S7 though due to the smaller size.

I still have to give it up to the S6 Edge Plus camera.

I am very happy with my Samsung Galaxy S7. I also carry a Nikon Coolpix A with the WU-1A wifi dongle at times as well.

Thank you all, we got a huawei p9 which so far looks quite good for photos. However I would not recommend it as it uses a different charge than most other Android devices and so should be boycotted for that reason.

Nice photos but for her a camera is too much bother, even though her old phone took photos which would have looked bad 110 years ago.

I still use Lumia 1020 as it has biggest sensor currently available. Only downside is it is slower than other phones.

The OnePlus phones are really nice and have wonderful cameras. I got rid of my S7 for the OP3 and its nice.

@loosegroove S7 camera quality is better then OnePlus 3, but if you are looking for best mobile camera, check Google Pixel.
