A recent shot of a Northern Pintail cropped as a portrait. I have always thought of the Pintail as one of the most "elegant" looking ducks around.

to all you birders/photographers out there. do any of you follow your local birding forums or research where certain birds are known to be in and around your towns? this is not my best image but it was so much fun planning to find this guy, and there he was.

Had some obstructions, but that's nature for you. He didn't stick around long enough to reposition the boat. Had to grab them quickly. Beautiful bird!!! From very early this morning.
