He He, the anticipation must be killing you!

I thought my lens collection was a bit OTT but I can see that I am just a learner!

some days you get the bear, other days...

the kit arrived.

all looks great except...

I pulled a 24-70/2.8 Mk I out of the pelican case, not a 24-70/2.8 Mk II.

just had a fun conversation with the "retired" photog - reviewing our "bill of sale" which clearly says Mk II.

ah well. life happens. I'm sure we'll work it out, but... no 24-70/2.8 II.

8-)

It is still a good lens though. When you get around to selling off all your excess lenses you can get the 24-70 Mk2 and some other toys too!

Happy snapping:-)

Thanks John.

You're absolutely right. And the camera looks hardly used...

Used the new merge to HDR feature in Photoshop CC. I like it. A more subtle effect than Photomatix.

Just picked myself up a 1DX yesterday.....I sold my 6D to get a 5D4 and had to return it due to AF issues. The replacement camera also had inconsistant AF so I traded it for a 1DX..
This is my first 1 series body and I am very impressed by the handling and performance... Shooting my dog running towards me flat out and EVERY frame is in focus at 12 fps....No other camera I have owned has come close to this, I will be keeping this body for a long time...

Congrats Don

I went the same way .
I would buy a 5D IV , but in the long end choose for the 1DX.
I'll don 't know how fast the 5D mark IV is, but the 1DX AF blows the 1D IV out of the water.
I'll had never thought is that fast.
