David, on my Fn menu there's a box that shows the af mode (af-c, af-s etc). Within that option there's an MF option. I may have added that to the Fn menu though as mine is fully customised

I have the AF selector mapped to a custom button, so you can do that too.

The RX1RII has a little knob where you can toggle the AF mode. I wish they put that onto the a7 bodies too

Thanks! I didn't even think to see it there. That, like several other things about the Sony menu system, isn't intuitive for me.
How have you customized yours - assigned it to a Custom button?

Sorry what I meant was ive customised my full Fn menu however a few original items (like that one) have remained but possibly in a different location. I just need to make time to make the A6300 menu the same as I keep going to find items that are not currently there

Yeah thats what I use too (the actual AF/MF button on the rear) but the problem David was trying to cure was it staying in MF mode when the power is switched off and back on. You have to use the Fn menu option to make this happen

Ah ok. Did not know you could hold it in place like that. Good to know!

If you'd rather not update to CC, you can either use Sony's free Image Data Converter, or download Adobe's ding converter.

Thanks Gene, I find the additional step a bit of a faff as im stuck in my ways with my workflow. I have been resisting CC though so may still give it a go. Thanks for the links
