Sorry I have one more question about these rifles, what is the bore diameter? Did they do what Ruger did with the Mini 30 and make the bore .300/.308 or did they go with the correct Russian .303/.311? (IIRC for the correct size) What Ruger did makes for difficult ammo choices, but back then there was very little Soviet surplus ammo, or even the correct diameter bullets, available in the US.

Back when we could have handguns, without too many limitations, I had an early 6" S&W 586, with the Pachymeres grips, although I thought mine were of a different style to yours. I just wish someone would post a nice image of one, as I don't have any photos of my one :(.
