you guys had seen this? ***drools***

Has me drooling as well but the $3,000 price tag or the $4,500 for a well specced version brings me back to reality.

I'm patiently waiting for my E-M1 II to arrive before I pickup the 25 1.2 and the 12-40. Decided that the 12-100 was just a tad too big as an everyday carry lens. Then will add the 40-150 and the 75 sometime next year.

IQ is the least of my concerns. If IQ was my top priority I would still be shooting my a7rII. But the rest of the features have me interested.

..... I would take the 12-100 over the 12-40 it really is not that big. but "big" is a personal term ;-)a

Quick thoughts on 6500

Dont feel as though the body is any different even though it is a little bigger on the grip.

Love the buffer.... Love the buffer.... Love the buffer and after you take a series there is a bar that appears top left showing you how long till the buffer is clear again as well..... and it is night and day difference.

Of course stabilization is fabulous.

Reasons I went this way was (all lenses work) buffer and stability. For those this is a worthwhile upgrade from the 6300.

Very nice. I'd like to add one to my kit eventually. How's the touch screen?

Thanks for your quick feedback on the a6500 eriet. I'm mostly concerned about real life high ISO files. How do they look? Any better than a6300 or similar?

Ok ok so 2nd new favorite thing on the 6500. Touch screen. Yes this will be amazing

Starting to feel the value

Will try some high ISO tests later but did not read too much where that was addressed in this build

i would buy the monitor, don't care at all about the computer portion of it. My Overclocked Skylake with dual 1080s would eat this for lunch ;)

My server is coming a life this week, dual xeons (12 cores each), 2.6ghz per core, 48 threads :p
125ghz of precessing power.

Its a very good lens, but way to specific for my needs.

When extended out it's rather large. Fully extended it roughly the size of the 40-150. Has the same 72mm filter thread as the 40-150. Who knows though, maybe one day I'll end up with all 3.

I did. I put my preorder for one on B&H the moment it was up. Looks like it's selling pretty well or inventory is light, preorders now won't ship until January.

I did this for my sanity but sharing for ya'lls benefit. As I suspected, there is a pretty big difference in FOV between the RX1RII and FE55. The RX1RII feels wider than 35mm....and the FE55 is obviously long for a 50ish lens.

Batis 85 and FE55 are surprisingly pretty close, but still different. In terms of rendering, all three lenses are basically the same to my eyes.
