As I've said in recent years, my photography activity has declined for a few reasons. I sold a lot of my "best" gear, and also have been very limited as to being "out and about".

But through it all, I have held on to my two "classics", the 5DC as well as the trusty ol' 30D, and a couple of lenses that have served me well. So, although I'm still not able to get out and shoot, I keep both these great items, and I keep the memories, and so I will occasionally look at this thread and then go to those archived memories!

The 5DC has certainly served well as a people/portrait body! My grandson has over the years allowed me to "capture" images of him that to me matter!

Here's an '07 one with my then brand new 85 f/1.2 L, and at f/1.2 it shows what you can grab!:

Another of my grandson on an '08 outing at a nearby wildlife refuge, cropped from a 16-35 f/2.8 L lens:

The 5DC has done well capturing street and urban scenes:

I was quite pleased at how my 5DC handled my early '08 aircraft shots, before I latched onto my 1DMk3:

And of course, its ability to "capture" the beauty of nature!:

It's nice what the 5D can capture when you are prepared for the shot!

A good workout it was, the food looks delicious! :-)
The burning question is, did you get to sample it? ;-)a
