(2 edits in all) | Dec 06, 2016 18:24 | #11537 joayne wrote in post #18190913 At present we would like anyone wishing to host have at least a 200 post count or have been active on POTN for a year. Hopefully, this will reduce the number of people that do not participate in a timely manner, or "forget" to move Nifty on to the next host, or simply don't care. * Though, this doesn't seem to alter the fact that people tend to forget to send Nifty on and tend to post very little... with some exceptions! To sign up to be a host, please copy the list completely, add your name to the bottom of the sub-list that is in your area of the world, paste the entire list into a new post with your name added. Again, if you are near the top of the USA list James (bk2life) is ready to move Nifty along. Please contact him.. USA Nifty: (CO) KbColorado (in possession) (Cleveland, OH) DutchinCLE (In Possession) (Atlanta, GA) CameraMan (Chicagoland, IL) Nekrosoft13 (Orlando FL) Justman1020 (No Response, moved to bottom of the list) (Hawaii) ChrisBlaze (deployed, but on the list!) (MI) Blake C USA - (Texas) Ron Bailey (Possessed a Nifty, but Nifty is missing and now Written Off as Gone) (RI) Archer1960 (Tx)Itsallart (Renata) (Chicago IL) KurtB (no information) (Buffalo, NY) KenjiS – (moved to bottom) Euro Nifty: (Scotland) AnnieMacD (in possession) (The Netherlands) Levina de Ruijter Adorama Nifty - Canadians: (AB) Photorider (in possession) DUPAN Nifty: Another Nifty gone but not forgotten and replaced by Gary - Thank You gutterscum! Dec 07, 2016 15:24 | #11540 Even though Colorado's water provides for much of the arid southwest, all of our large bodies of water are reservoirs with the exception of Grand Lake. This is Pueblo Reservoir which is also a State Park. Pikes Peak is in the upper center of the photo and marks the eastern end of the Rockies. IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/NKnCKiIt was probably -10 degrees F (-23 C) this morning when I took these two shots from the road that runs by our home.IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/Pq45ZU In the distance you can see the twin towns of Westcliffe (left) and Silver Cliff 10 miles to the north.IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/PKVodu Paul

I took the train up the mountain in august, had no idea how it stands out in the distance. kbColorado Goldmember More info Post edited over 6 years ago by kbColorado. | Dec 10, 2016 14:02 | #11544 Thanks Renata. Thank you, MPCMan ... Pueblo Reservoir is about 60 miles southwest of Pikes Peak. Walking to the mailbox on the corner we pass the Three Creeks Ranch, our neighbor to the east.IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/Q5z2RM We turn around to visit our neighbor's property to the west, stopping by our place for a shot of the creek. The average date the creek totally freezes over is December 1 and we were within a day of that this year. It usually is 100% thawed on April 1.IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/PRBJRU Paul

I keep an eye on his place (they live in Oklahoma) and they let us walk the grounds. IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/Q5zRPFHis bridge over the local creek. Dec 10, 2016 14:18 | #11546 When you go over his bridge, there is a path that leads to the rest of his property. Lots of trees, meadows and a few beaver ponds. IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/Q5z1BcTomorrow we'll return to the property to cut our Christmas tree. The water table is very high and trees love to grow here. There are areas in the back of the property where we fill find pines trees growing in thick patches and we'll cut one of those. This will be our 5th year doing that. We always pass this tree first. It's right along the pathway growing all by itself so it would be quite inappropriate to cut it down, but every year we have a chuckle talking about how easy it would be IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/NR5Ry2 This is the first beaver pond.IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/PRARFY Paul
