A quick little time lapse (with the 7d2 pictured). My first time lapse video (despite having indulged in photography for 12+ years.

Hello All,

I will be getting the 1DX MKII tomorrow afternoon. Feeling somewhat of a buyers remorse as I don't know if i need the camera for what I do. Struggled deciding between 1Dx and 5d MKIV for a while. I mainly shoot weddings/portraits and am hoping to shoot football, soccer and baseball. I did have the MK I and loved it but I am very intrigued also by the Sony A7rII and was contemplating changing platforms but am heavily invested into the canon lens lineups for now.

This thread has rejuvenated the excitement for the MK II for me and am sure I will enjoy using it. Wife was definitely not very pleased with the idea of me getting the camera but she'll get over it soon :).

Look forward to posting my pictures here soon.

Karim.

I don't have any Sony experience, but I do have both the 1DX2 and the 5D4. You made the right choice! :-)

Image editing ok; C&C always welcome.

I have been following your posts on 1dx II and your work which gives me the comfort in making the right choice. I am contemplating on replacing my 5d mkii with 5dsr and I should be good for 4-6 years.

i am sure I am going to be very happy. Sony appealed to me due to size and definitely image quality but I know 1dx and 5dsr are no slouch.

Hockey and wedding photographer. Favourite camera / lens combos: a 1DX II with a Tamron 45 1.8 VC, an A7Rii with a Canon 24-70F2.8L II, and a 5DSR with a Tamron 85 1.8 VC. Every lens I own I strongly recommend [Canon (35Lii, 100L Macro, 24-70F2.8ii, 70-200F2.8ii, 100-400Lii), Tamron (45 1.8, 85 1.8), Sigma 24-105]. If there are better lenses out there let me know because I haven't found them.

Me and a Sony shooter photographed this Model at a drag strip and I couldn't help but laugh at how many times it took him to get the shot of her in the air meanwhile I set my setttings and took about 10 shots of the jump to which all are tack sharp. His Sony stuggled so much as he kept saying can we re do it over and over again

I switched back from Sony recently. It's great for landscapes and very controlled portrait settings but it is SLOW. Amazing image quality but a completely different class of camera.
