CiroFlex TLR with 85mm 3.5 lens(which is FAST in medium format DOF terms, similar to F1.8 in 35mm)
Really hate to sell it, but need to start saving funds for my final semester of school.
The price of these skyrocketed 2 years ago when the art of photography did a special on them.
I could list it on ebay and get twice as much, but I hate paying them so much in fees so I'd rather give someone here a great deal.
in the 200+ years of photography there has been very very very few good American cameras and this is the ONLY GOOD AMERICAN TLR ever produced.
Asking $50 + $10 shipping(in the US)
Lens is free of fungus some minor dust. Viewfinder lens has more dust but it never sees the film so this doesn't affect image quality. Camera has lots of use wear as you would expect from a 60+ year old camera.
Shutter works perfectly all speeds including bulb and time! Aperture moves freely, doesn't stick, very tiny bit of oil on the blades.
I have the original leather case for it which is worth almost as much as the camera, has a seem tear on one side which can be repaired but I am tossing in this for FREE! as well as a fresh roll of Fomapan Film.
It shoots 120 film which is available from B+H,amazon local shops etc... often times film is cheaper in 120 than 35mm, I dont know why but just look up HP5+ to confirm.
It's cheap to process film at home, right now it's costing me 50 cents for a BW roll and 75 cents for color.
if you'd want to get into medium-format digital it would cost you 8 grand minimum and quickly jumps up to 10-30K for a decent kit.
So you can see how cheap it is using film, not to mention it uses 6x6 format which is way bigger than what hasselblad and phase one are. They're under 6x45.
