Went up to the Nooksack this afternoon to see how the eagles were doing... lots of 'em there, hardly any of 'em close. Mostly they sat in the trees on the far side up river. A couple of 'em did come in closer late in the day, and I managed a few shots, but the light was getting to be an issue for some of them. Definitely not as good as 2 years ago. Might give it another try in a week or two and see how it goes. Meanwhile, here are a few from today...

Lovely shots! I've been meaning to make it up there one of these days, but it's a bit of a drive for me.

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

I'd be very happy with these Rocky, very nice! How long a drive were they from home?

Ian, the location for these is about a 90-mile drive for me. Not exactly a short hop, but worth the drive once or twice a year for the eagles...;)
