This was taken earlier today, I'm a Postman and I spotted the scene while driving down a farm track near Whitwell on the Hill.

Lovely photo. The tree behind that's bent right over also looks interesting.

Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.

You're right, it does. I didn't even notice it when I took the shot, I didn't even see the Crows in the tree either. :/

Near my house (I live in a small mountain town in Colorado), there are trees that have been "shaped" according to Ute Native American traditions. These trees are shaped over many years to point to significant locations (mountains, sources of water, north/south), or bent to show respect to elders that have passed away, or as in the following, shaped to signify the love between the elements of nature or (what should be) people and nature.

This is one tree that's hugging another... I wish I had more of a side view so you could see the "back" tree...

Sometimes, the pictures that mean the most to us are not technically perfect, nor special to anyone else. This one is probably "okay" for most people, but really special to me. It's somewhere that I go with my wife and dogs. At this very moment, I'm really remembering this time fondly. It was also a few months ago when the weather was really warm. Right now, it's zero degrees and she is traveling.

To me, that is what this hobby is about. Pictures can an do transport you to that very second in time and place. You can almost smell and feel what the air was like at that moment. Sure, I love the accolades of others but I have many, many pictures that serve as my mode of time travel and only I see them.
