Great image, however whisky is just medicine to me and must confess I'm Scottish - though some paler 18 year old's have on occasion been palatable-ish
I'll scurry off now in shame ;-)a

Me too, can't touch the stuff

Sipping is the secret to my enjoyment of Scotch. A little bit goes a long way but I do enjoy the aromas and flavors of a good one.

I received Eddie's Laowa 12 today. Solid lens. Quick test shot in my backyard (David is going rip me a new one because of my tilted verticals :-)). Looks good so far! Mushy in extreme corners. Could be field curvature. Not a big deal IMO

does it matter what they add? would you pay $6000+ for a camera?

If I could get an A7R series camera (super high resolution and dynamic range) with the ergonomics of my 1Dx then sure. For me the Sony falls on it's face in the ergonomics dept.

I've now had the a7rii for 18 months which equals my longest time owning a body (sold the 5d3 at 18 months) and seriously have no intention of upgrading no matter what the a7riii has to offer. First time I've felt like this andnlike David says above there are things that bug me but not enough to make me want a change

I kind of feel the same way about my current A7R2, I was happy to upgrade from the A7R but not sure there is a compelling reason for me currently to upgrade to a new model when it comes about. The last time I held on to a camera model this long was back in my Canon days when I was using the 1 series pro models, those days are long gone for me, I doubt I will ever be interested in going to a full pro model again anytime soon, ergonomics or not.

Funny you should say that, I very much like Islay Scotch, Lagavulin, Laphroaig, Ardbeg I pretty much enjoy them all however every time I open a bottle my wife says I stink the house to high heaven, she says it smells like medicine.

A rushed timeplapse from an amazing sunset tonight.

Playing baskeball in the garden with my son and noticed the colour starting to form. Rushed out with my camera to the back deck and using the Sony Timelapse app set it on the auto sunset settings.

Works a treat, except I have a couple of dust spots that I can't remove. On this setting it renders the video in camera. Next time I'll use custom setting and be able to edit the individual photo's in LR and use LRTimelapse to edit the video.

Very cool! I need to give this a try. Thanks for sharing.

Messing around the crop mode on my a7RII with the FE 55. I was pretty far from the building. This is about 75% crop from the original image. I really needed my 70-200 for this detail shot. What caught my eye were the window reflections and the pattern created on the building.

Congrats again! I think you'll have fun with it.

Thanks! I enjoyed the Sigma 12-24, but the size of the Laowa is definitely more appealing. Even with an EF adapter attached is pretty tiny!

I went out shooting during lunch to continue testing my ND filter kit. This was captured with the Loxia 21 and 10 Stop Firecrest ND filter plus 16x Smooth Reflections. Total time was a few minutes if memory serves me correctly. This is part of the hotel expansion at the Pearl Brewery in SATX and is situated at the northern point of the Riverwalk. The clouds were really nice today. I tried B&W conversion but ultimately preferred the color version because of the cool/warm tones.

Oh, I also had the polarizer on from Formatt-Hitech.

Yes there was some wind. It's more pronounced at such a long exposure. I can try masking in another image with a normal exposure. Thanks.
