First of all Chris, your cat is absolutely beautiful and you've captured him/her very well (looks like a "him" to me or a big "her" ;) :D ).
At that ISO setting, you have a little bit of noise so you might try to reduce that. I have a demo of Neat Image (link below in case you want to try it) that works well up to 1024x1024 pixels. Above that you have to purchase it but it is inexpensive.
Great shot.

Thanks for the comments Robert.

Surprisingly, the cat is Female and is called Shadow. She is a pretty nice cat, bit scared at times. My mums cat really but i borrow it for photographic duties now and then.

I quite like the noise in the picture, it looks great in B&W. I will post that version tommorrow when im on the other PC. The noise translastes well in BW.

I might see what noise ninja can do but i dont want to lose much detail.

Thanks,

Chris

You're right Chris and I've noticed the same with Neat Image. You've captured such great detail with a nice shallow DOF that it would be a pitty to loose any of it.

I look forward to seeing the B&W version. Now, go thank your mum for letting us enjoy her cat. ;)
