Dear Board,

I recently purchased a 1DMK3 from a POTN board member, daleg. It arrived today and I got it out of the box and attached the Sigma 150-600 OS C that I also purchased and stood in the backyard waiting for something to show up.

Woodpeckers never disappoint me! They will always come around if you give them a bit.

Here are two sample shots taken today. I did nothing with the camera upon receipt other than bump the ISO to 1000, and I did nothing to the lens other than attach it to the camera. I look forward to reading more about the camera in the manual and setting it and the lens up to work together.

Regards,

Tim Murphy
Harrisburg, PA :-)

I love them! What a great idea, Chet. Everybody does seem to really have fun. Great portraits. All so well executed. Some great props too!
Is the little dude on the chair Cam? What a precious photograph. He's adorable.

Has anyone attempted using a phone or tablet as an external monitor to use during live view? I've got my Samsung Tab S hooked up buy all I get is a headache. I freely admit to not knowing much in the way of tech stuff. I could set the.clock on your VCR like nobody's business in my prime.

Had no idea that was possible on the idmkiii. I do shoot laptop tethered often though.

One from Xmas 2015. Never got around to processing them as my backdrop was a sheet and a bit small, so it took a bit to fix the rest.
