Adorama Nifty and I were able to get out and shoot. I am off for Christmas and was able to get out and take some shots. Last week it was a little cold at -27 c (-17 F) so I figured it would be a great day to play in the snow and run around a waterfall.

I left early to drop my kids off at school and then headed to a favorite spot not to fall away. On the way as the sun was coming up I caught a nice shot as the sun rises over the foothills.

The falls were damaged in 2013 in a major flood and is about half the drop that it was pre flood.

This is a shot of the falls from a higher point of view.

Lovely images, Trever. I barely see any snow where I live, though we had a nasty spell of cold weather to the extent that a pipe in my backyard simply burst and flooded most of the garden. Gazillion dollars later, the issue was fixed.

OH.... and here are a couple from just before Halloween. We arrived at a local corn maze just before dark. It was to dark to shoot soon after we got there.

I can understand that. In the late 80s my family spent Christmas in New Orleans. It snowed for the first time in a century on the third day and everything shut down, pipes froze all over the city, transit was parked. When you are in the southern climates and it snows or gets cold nothing is set up for it.

Nifty has a handful of days left to play here in Colorado and then it's off to the southeast to visit CameraMan.

Nifty met some new friends today.

Wow, what a wonderful way to start winding up Nifty's visit to Colorado.

Beautiful images, Paul!

These are gorgeous, Paul. Particularly love No 4.

I hope ENifty arrives in Amsterdam soon. I'm thinking I shouldn't have sent him away amongst all the holiday packages!

I'll be waiting for it. I've got plans to use my 35mm with it this time around. I'll probably put it on the 5D MII at first when I receive it.

It's still not here yet, Annie, so it is taking a bit more time than usual I think. No worries though, I'm sure it'll be here some time next week! Do you have a track&trace number maybe?

It's here! In fact, it was here 2 days ago, but I didn't know it as it was left with my neighbours. Between their working hours and me being away or in bed very early, they only managed to find me at home this morning. I already took it out for a little spin and will have photographs in a bit.

Annie, I love the text and the hood and filter are totally cool for this little lens!

This is going to be my third tour of Nifty! Here are some first images, taken whilst shopping.
Christmas is not terribly present in this part of the city. There is a large tree at Javaplein though. People can write their own message and hang it in the tree.

Just next to the tree were these two. It's a real pity the guy is looking down here as he turned out to have the most amazing blue eyes!

Walking on I passed these two young women, sitting outside. It was a pretty cold, windy day and I regretted not having my winter gloves on. I asked them "aren't you cold?!" and they answered "no, not at all". I then asked if I could take their picture, seeing as they were so pretty sitting there and they said "sure, go ahead". :)

On my way to the shopping area I came across these two vehicles.

I thought this was some type of classic car but it's a Nissan Figaro, a retro car, built in 1989. So how do you call something like that now? A classic retro Car?

As I was taking the picture, another vehicle drove by and I only managed this shot. It looked pretty cool though. It's a BMW but don't know the type.

And how about this sign. I shot this just the other week for the WWPW thread with my own nifty and as I walked by it today I thought I would take another snap with ENifty.
