That Xti did very well for me, which is why I was so happy to find a thousand old RAWs from it. Its now used by my 4 year old with a helios 44 on it, and still takes the occasional really nice one. Thanks again. XTi, T2i, 50mm 1.8 II, Helios 44-4

Or do you guys not care, as long as the subject is exposed to a good balance against the brightness of the background? Personally, I find it a challenge to achieve the prefect balance so that the foreground lighting being controlled by the photographer matches the lighting of the environment so that everything looks natural and coherent. Too often what I see is the foreground appearing a bit too bright and losing the sense of natural coherency our eyes are used to seeing in real-life. It can work for certain aesthetic effects though, such as purposely highlighting the subject against the background, but it's a very distinct and intentional look that doesn't always fit. I know that this question is quite old, but I just found the thread... Image hosted by forum (831224) © rejay14 [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW.
