So as we come up to the new year is anyone going to start or finish a project?? I may start again next week. I've been away for a while and need something to get back into things, this maybe what i need

Well, i don't fit the 52 "week" part but i continue my 52 months(if not years ) project. Hope you guys don't get bothered me being a part of this thread

Actually I'll just probably follow your lead

I'm still doing mine ( currently on week 22) and this is my 4th one in a row. I just don't post in this thread anymore as it died a death but will do if there's going to be more people taking part

I'd like to sign up starting next week. I will (hopefully) have finished a daily project so will need something to keep me disciplined. My daily project (since you ask!) was not photography related. I walked or ran a minimum 5km (3.2 miles) every day of the year. Whatever the weather (today 60 mph winds) and through suffering a cracked rib (walked) I did not give up or give in. This should be a breeze in comparison!

Does one have to select a topic?

Annie, great news on you completing your daily challenge! That is excellent. Good to hear about he 52 week challenge too. So far in this thread people have just picked their own themes each week or picked one theme and stuck with it all year. Others have kept it more random, it's really just how you want to do it

You can choose a topic, or it can be random. Mine tend to be random. Eddie's is his son. If you miss a week, you can catch up. It's a great lead in to a 365, which I would fail miserably at, but this pace is much more relaxed.

Thanks, guys. I may not pick a topic as such but may do B&W or force myself to learn Photoshop so my goal will be to have some PS changes to each submission. I'll think about it over the next week.

I really need to learn PS. I have CS6, and I've spent hours and days teaching myself, using youtube vids and a PS class book a friend gave me. Everyone makes it look so easy, and I know once I have the basics down I'll be fine. It was the same with LR, but I pretty much have that down. I'll get it figured out...one day.

Joined the stupid gaming mouse fashion. Paid like 10 times more than a regular mouse but not worth the price IMHO.

Gaming mice are definitely worth it! I have one simply for editing, the DPI control makes minor adjustments so much easier.

Well, in the beginning paying over a hundred bucks on a mouse didn't seem right to me but maybe in time as I get more benefit of it's use I may change my idea
