The transparent cover is confusing. Is what is in the image some sort of pulley?

Not a pulley ..... macro remember.

The cover needs to be transparent for you to see what this item is used for.

This one was meant to be easy!

I considered an item that uses a magnet for determining something but dismissed that possibility due to the lettering saying "3" and "C." Did not consider the possibility of the markings not being English abbreviations.
