Yes. I still think it's pretty good and appreciate the conditions you were in!
Ah okay. It's just that other years I have really nice, crisp shots but now most were just smudges basically. But, Nifty with a 1.4x extender works pretty well!

Made my own oliebollen last night, but misshe buying them.at the oliebollenkraam with lots of powdered sugar. Bas My dad used to make them too. Every year. Buckets full. And they were really really good. So it's not a bad thing to make your own. But I agree, it is nice to stand in line at an oliebollenkraam and chat with other people. It gives a kind of community feeling that is nice. Wild Birds of Europe: https://photography-on-the.net …showthread.php?p=19371752

Jan 01, 2017 10:01 | #11646 Since I am trying to get out of my photography slump, I went up to the lake and took a picture of the fishing pier where I fell in love with long exposure photography. Jan 01, 2017 14:30 | #11649 Christmas morning brought some new snow but mostly howling winds. Before everyone was up Nifty and I headed outside. IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/QeAsM7Before Christmas Day was over, we would lose power (18 telephone poles had blown down). I fired up the backup generator that ran for a 3 hours and then quit. After I went outside and restarted it, it was only 5 minutes before it quit again. When I went out to check it again it was on fire as well as the generator shed that is attached to the house. Luckily we had fire extinguishers on hand so we spent Christmas evening eating sandwiches and playing cards by candlelight. Paul

These are great photos and really give a feel for your surroundings. When we lose power here it can take some time for the electric company to fix the problem as we are so remote. Everybody (ie built up areas) gets more priority and we end up last on the list! Hope you didn't have to wait too long to get the power restored.

On Saturdays it is crowded. Even though they had a rough year, when the city decided to redo the parkinglot behind the market. There was no parking anywhere close. Bas
