1 - Must be taken with a Sony camera
2 - Must be taken within the month that it's being posted to
3 - Post only 1 image per month
4 - Must be in a pano ratio either from single image or merged multiple images

No winners or voting / just for fun and motivation

January 2017, lot of hot rods on the bottom, hence the smokish look. 7 images stitch, similar to a single 75mm frame.

my shot was planned, so I'm good. I dont like to procrastinate, so if I have something planned early, I can get it out of the way.

Clarification please?

...folks have been responding to early entries as if this is a "One Stop Shot" competition and there is only one potential entry and thus winner, however in the interest of encouraging SONY CAMERA Image Sharing, and since there is no official judgement per se, why can't we share multiple images? Or would multiple entries dilute the quality standard expected?

Perhaps this thread will promote much more sharing than the rather failing "Weekly Photo Challenge" where peeps refrain from entering because they "just couldn't get out to take a shot due to blah or blah" perhaps due to (in their perception) not reaching a high enough standard to be viewed?? ;-)a

If I have the idea of this thread completely arse about face, just let me know before I bore y'all with multiple efforts at sharing images/panos that fail to make "the cut" because I wouldn't want to waste anyone's bandwidth on my account.

There are a lot of very clever, talented and brilliant Togs here (many of whom are Pros) contributing to "OUR" Sony environment and that gives me for one great pleasure!

So to repeat the question, is this thread a "One Stop Shot" or not?

If so I'll remain a very grateful recipient of your collective art as a receive only subscriber but I will start a new Sony thread that is more receptive to encouragement of all possibly future Sony Artisans. Because believe me you have to start somewhere.

Thanks for reading this far.

Jamie

It's in the first post. Choose 1 photo. It's just for fun, don't sweat it.

There's already a thread that promotes multiple images - The a7x lounge. This thread is for people to post their best pano of the month. If they only shoot 1 pano then fine, if they post on day 1 then fine.

I'm failing to see what the issue is here?....

Eddie
Many thanks for your very prompt reply, and I assure you I'm deffo not sweating...

However as with your valued Weekly Photo starter thread, what "maybe" you are overlooking is in this new thread it still revolves around "Choose 1 photo" - Why 1?

I contend that there could be MANY more entries and hence sharing if multiple entries were allowed - unless there was some complicated way to override one's previous entry? - I also observed that this might dilute the amount of sharing - which does bother me because why should we wait for a "flurry" of entries - OR NOT - at the end of the month- Since this thread is supposed to be "non-competitive" i.e. not judged, there will still be the impression of peeps holding back and not sharing who then just don't enter anything by the end of the month.

I guess I've given my input FWIW

So I guess my option as you state it, is to give this a miss and also I guess the weekly photo thread and just post to my hearts content in the Lounge.
Thanks
Jamie
